The results are in! This year, Miami County schools collected 274 pounds of pop tabs for our America Recycles Day contest - that's over 300,000 tabs! Proceeds from recycling the tabs will go to the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton.
Defending champs Bradford Elementary School won this year's contest for the full-school division with 0.3 pounds of tabs per student.
Miss Douglas' kindergarten class from Heywood Elementary Schoolwon the single school division with 10 pounds from 12 students!
An honorable mention goes to Van Cleve Elementary School for the most overall tabs collected - 83 pounds!
We also appreciate the participation from Milton-Union Middle School, St. Patrick's, Piqua Catholic, and Covington's sixth grade science class.
